Japanese Foods

Sushi Inc. loves Japanese food, even though it is an expert in sushi. This blog will showcase some of our favorite dishes. We welcome anyone in St. Petersburg who is looking for delicious sushi.

Sushi

This list wouldn’t be complete without sushi. We’ve already said that great sushi is an art. Sushi is just raw fish that’s been vinegared and then topped off with toppings. Sushi bars have a wide variety of rolls. Sushi Inc. has some of the best sushi in St. Petersburg.

Ramen

You will find ramen all over Japan if you decide to go. It’s a wonderful thing to do. Ramen, a tasty noodle broth that is popular in Japan, is an excellent choice. Ramen is one of the most inexpensive food options. This is a combination we think is great. Another great reason to visit Japan. This dish is available in many regional variations.

Tempura

Tempura is a battered mixture of vegetables and seafood that’s fried in oil. This looks like a Japanese dish that has been around for centuries. It’s not. Tempura was brought to Japan by Jesuit missionaries. They taught Japan how to fry batter.

Udon

Udon is made of thick wheat flour noodles. Udon is a bit thicker and chewier than Ramen. In Japan, many restaurants specialize in udon. These restaurants serve udon either hot or chilled, along with other ingredients, meat, eggs, and vegetables. This dish requires a lot of slurping.

Shabu-Shabu

The Japanese dish shiyabushiyabu, also known as “shabu shabu”, is not only delicious but easy to pronounce. This Japanese hotpot is topped with vegetables, meat, or seafood. Onomatopoeia is derived from the sound made by thin meat slices when stirred with chopsticks into the broth.

Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki has been a Japanese tradition for centuries. It is a combination of pizza, omelet, and pie. Popular in Osaka and Hiroshima, as well as throughout Japan. Some okonomiyaki restaurants have hotplates large enough to let customers cook their own okonomiyaki.

Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu, like hambaga, is a dish that has Western influences. Tonkatsu is deep-fried cutlets of pork. It is of European origin but has a Japanese flavor thanks to the Japanese ingredients and attention. It is usually served with cabbage and miso. Try the kurobuta if you’re visiting Kagoshima.

Yakitori

Every culture seems to have its own version. Japanese cuisine is no exception. Yakitori is a skewered chicken that’s been grilled with sauces over charcoal. Everyone loves it because it’s simple, delicious, and easy to make. You can use any part of the chicken to make yakitori. This dish is not for people who do not eat organs, gizzards, and other less popular parts.

This blog aims to inspire you to travel to Japan and help you understand Japanese cuisine. If this is not possible, Sushi Inc. in St. Petersburg is the best place to enjoy sushi and other Japanese delights.
