I decided to make the perfect baked chicken legs, and after a few batches I decided what marinade and cooking method would work best. While others were good, things like a simple taste made us want a more pronounced flavor, and the sweet Asian marinade that was deep fried in the pan made us ask for more of the golden flavor and crispy skin.

With this recipe you have the option of serving them straight from the oven with a crispy crust or at the end of the drizzle with the sauce reserved for the final 1/4 cup. It’s a tough choice for me personally, so I’ll leave it up to you.

Who can resist that chicken skin, but you might also love the extra flavor of that herb sauce (it’s just that the oils and fluids in it soften the chicken skin quickly). Therefore, you can choose to mix the rest of the chimichurri sauce with a side of vegetables (potatoes or corn are good options).

In a 400 degree oven, baked chicken thighs should cook for about 35 to 45 minutes, depending on size. Here’s how to make this recipe:

Just cut and dry some chicken thighs, add some simple spices and bake them in the oven – perfectly crispy, moist and tender.

Everyone needs a great chicken recipe, and this recipe for fried chicken legs is one of the easiest and best for the home cook. With only 10 minutes of preparation time and a simple taste, you will have an affordable meal that both children and adults will love after baking in the oven.

It takes about 35 minutes at 425° to cook chicken thighs in the oven at an internal temperature of 185°. Variables: chicken leg size and oven temperature.

The ultimate final roasting temperature for chicken legs is 185° or higher, when the connective tissue has melted and the meat is moist and tender.

Connective tissue begins to melt at 175°. At 185° you get wet and smooth results. America’s Test Kitchen takes thighs and drumsticks a step further and suggests 190° to 195° as the desired internal temperature range. American Test Kitchen – for perfectly tender chicken thighs, overcook them.

Many like to cook chicken thighs at 165°, the FDA’s minimum safe internal temperature for chicken, but they will be tough and stringy because of the connective tissue.

When chicken thighs are cooked, most of the fat and liquid will drain. You can cook the thighs without a grill, but you’ll be happier with a grill. Cooking will be more even, faster and easier to clean.

If you want, you can. Without oil, the skin will be dry and brown, but with a little olive oil or cooking spray, it will be thicker and thinner.

The best oven temperature for roasting chicken thighs is 400° to 425°. This gives a crispy skin and the meat reaches 185° or more when the connective tissue has melted and the meat is moist and tender.

Lower temperatures such as 350° or 375° can be used, but the skin will not be as brown, the cooking time will be longer, and the meat will be drier.

Keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Also, they should freeze well for 3-4 months. Reheat first, then reheat in the oven.

Season with salt and pepper. Use other spices if desired. Here I use multi-purpose fabric – 7:2:1 and 7:2:2.

Place the legs on the prepared baking sheet with the thick part of the chicken legs facing out. Line the pan with aluminum foil to help clean up. The rack elevates the chicken so all sides cook evenly. You can cook without a cage, but it is better with it. Of course, intense spraying of PAM on a shelf or aluminum foil.

Bake at 185 ° + internal temperature – about 35 minutes. DO NOT STOP BEYOND 185°. But up to 195 ° is good.

Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. They are too hot to eat right away and will be better after resting.

These oven-baked chicken drumsticks are just as delicious as a deep-fried alternative, but without the oil! These baked beauties taste delicious with buttery biscuits, cheesy potatoes, and roasted green beans.

When I feel motivated to eat healthy, chicken seems to be the only one I eat. Although there are many ways to prepare chicken, it can sometimes get a little stale. That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to cook our chicken, like this oven-baked chicken recipe!

These sticks were easy to put together and were a HUGE hit with everyone in the family. The batter that covers the chicken is light, tasty and finger-licking perfect. The best part is that it tastes like Kentucky Fried Chicken, but it’s not fried – it’s fried!!

Best Air Fryer Chicken Legs (drumsticks)

I was surprised they tasted so good baking them, but they did, which means I feel less guilty when I eat some. 😉 When a recipe tastes this good and is this easy, it’s a winner in my book.

BREAD Dip each coxinha in the baking mix (only 4 ingredients!) and place in a 9×13 pan with melted butter. After all breaded and in a baking dish, lightly sprinkled with oil spray and placed in the oven.

To fry Bake at 450° for 30 minutes, remove from oven, turn each chicken leg over, brush again with oil, and bake for another 15 to 25 minutes, until they are as crispy as you like.

Can I use other cuts of chicken besides wood? You can easily substitute other cuts. You just need to adjust the cooking time. Fry until the juices run clear.

If the chicken has been sitting at room temperature for more than two hours, discard the rest of the chicken. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can also COMBINE leftovers. Use an airtight container, freezer bags, or wrap in aluminum foil. Freeze for 4-6 months.

To REHEAT the chicken ENTIRELY in the microwave, place the chicken on a baking sheet, cover with a damp paper towel, heat for 45 seconds, turn over, and heat for an additional 45 seconds.

To reheat in the oven, place the chicken in an ovenproof dish. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly coat the chicken with olive oil, heat for 25 minutes.

These chicken thighs are so flavorful and delicious! We got this recipe for the second time this month, which means it’s definitely a KEEP. 😉
