You can see in the picture above that I have the first lard in my glass jar which is opaque and light in color. When I have a fresh batch of bacon, I pour it right out and cover the jar and refrigerate.

So what can I use my rendered lard for? Oh, almost everything. This is how I fry my eggs and marinate most meats. It’s also great for sauteed or roasted vegetables to add depth and flavor.
