So when I got my Porter Road delivery today, naturally I had to make my next BBQ Grilled Chicken Sticks. They’re kind of a summer classic because you can eat them with your bare hands (perfect for casual dates!) and everyone loves them.

I love making them with my own homemade barbecue sauce (it’s Whole30 friendly!), but you can use a store-bought variety or Keto BBQ sauce depending on your dietary restrictions.

In this recipe, baguettes (also known as chicken legs) are generously flavored with a delicious, sugar-free barbecue mix and then grilled to delicious, juicy perfection.

Finally, they are sprinkled with barbecue to give a nice, sticky, glassy flavor. It really doesn’t get any better than this!

Gas grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 400°F). Add the chicken wings and cook for about five minutes per side, until the shells are browned and crispy on all sides. Reduce the heat to about 300°F and cover the grill. Bake for about 25 minutes, turning once in the middle.

Charcoal Grilling: Create two zones on one side of the grill by cooking on charcoal only. Start by cooking the chicken directly over the heat source, then when the chicken is browned all over, remove the pieces from the heat source to finish cooking.

Finally, coat each chicken piece with the sauce. Check the internal temperature to see if the chicken is cooked through, then transfer the chicken to a plate or platter and serve!
