Although drumsticks are delicious from the slow cooker or right out of the pot, these crispy baked drumsticks have a desirable crispiness that makes kids think they’re eating chicken fillet.

Before starting, line a baking sheet with foil and place a baking / baking rack on top. Spray with cooking spray.

After patting the chicken dry with a paper towel, roll them in a bed of whole wheat flour. You can use all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour, but whole wheat adds more nutrition to it.

After that, they travel to the egg and milk mixture. You can use non-dairy milk if you prefer.

Then, they go swimming in some crispy whole wheat panko breadcrumbs. If you can’t find whole wheat, regular panko or other dry bread crumbs will work. If you are gluten free, try using gluten-free bread.

In a small bowl, mix plain Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, honey, salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Chill until ready to use.
