Meat: You want the chicken breast to be tender. If they don’t have chicken tenders, grab a packet of chicken breasts when you get home and cut them into strips.

Masala: We pull out all the stops for great flavor with this chicken tender. You will need paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh parsley, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, brown sugar and a pinch of salt and pepper.

1. Melt the butter. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut 1 tablespoon of butter into cubes and place in a shallow dish. Melt the butter by microwaving in 30 second increments.

4. Grill the chicken. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. When done, garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Butter: If you’re looking to avoid dairy or extra calories, you can substitute butter for the egg wash.

Breading: Want to turn your oven-baked tender chicken into tenders? Consider using panko breadcrumbs to make panko breaded chicken, regular breadcrumbs, or crushed pork rinds.

Leftover chicken tenders can be used for lunch the rest of the week, a protein-packed breakfast, or cut into small pieces of chicken and tossed on top of a salad.

Nesting Jars: For prep, I like to keep a kit like this on hand. The set consists of a small bowl, a medium bowl and a large bowl. A great prep kit will take you a long way in the kitchen. However, having a shallow bowl like this is also important. Season meat in a shallow pan with seasoning or egg wash for rolling.

Sheet pan: This pan has many different names. You may call it a rimmed baking sheet or a cookie sheet; Either way, when making grilled tenderloins, you need one!

Wire rack: This is useful for cooling your chicken before serving. If I’m cooking, I like to let the chicken cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator and storing it for recipes later in the week.

The “special ingredient” in these tenders is panko. I use panko instead of breadcrumbs or flour. Panko is commonly used in Japanese cooking and can be found in the Asian food aisle of the grocery store. I definitely prefer panko over regular breadcrumbs because of its lighter and smoother texture. This gives a more crisp and crunchy end product
